Terms of Service

By creating an account or using GridHearth Create ("the Service", at create.gridhearth.com), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

You need an account to create or publish puzzles. You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be old enough to consent to these terms under the laws of your country; if you're under 18 you need a parent or guardian's permission.

You keep the rights to the puzzles you create, subject to one rule tied to your plan at the moment you publish: on the Free plan, GridHearth owns the published puzzle and it carries a "Made with GridHearth Create" watermark when embedded elsewhere; on paid plans (Creator/Studio), you own the puzzle outright. This ownership is fixed at the moment you publish and does not change retroactively if you later upgrade or downgrade — each published puzzle keeps the ownership it was published under. You'll see and confirm this before every publish.

By publishing a puzzle, you grant GridHearth a license to host, display, and serve it (including via the embed player) as part of operating the Service, for as long as it stays published.

You agree not to publish content that:

• infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights (e.g. images you don't have rights to use in a Jigsaw puzzle);
• is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate;
• is spam, or is designed to mislead or defraud players;
• attempts to bypass puzzle validation or otherwise abuse the Service (e.g. automated account or puzzle creation).

Anyone can report a published puzzle from its play page. We review reports and may unpublish content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Every account is on the Free plan today. Paid plans (Creator, Studio) are described on the pricing page along with what each includes, but purchasing one isn't open yet. Once paid plans launch, they'll bill on a recurring basis through our payment processor (Stripe), you'll be able to cancel anytime with access continuing through the end of the current billing period, and fees will be non-refundable except where required by law — this section will be updated with the specifics before that launches.

Published puzzles can be embedded on other sites via an iframe. Free-plan puzzles show a small attribution watermark linking back to GridHearth Create; this watermark may not be removed or hidden.

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account removes your personal details and any never-published drafts; puzzles you already published stay up under the ownership rule in §3, no longer linked to your identity. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, GridHearth is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
